The school is situated in Kaunas, the former temporary capital and second largest city in Lithuania. Kaunas is located at the confluence of the two largest Lithuanian rivers, the Nemunas and the Neris, and near the Kaunas lagoon, the largest body of water in Lithuania.
History of the School
1944 founded. At that time there were over 230 students and there worked 9 teachers.
1949 the first students graduated.
1998 the school was named after Stasys Lozoraitis, the first ambassador of Lithuanian Republic in the USA

General secondary education is provided at triple level.
Primary: forms 1-4 (age 6/7 to 10/11);
Lower secondary: forms 5-10 (age 10/11 to 16/17);
Secondary: forms 11-12 (age 16/17 to 18/19) .

The Ministry of Education and Science regulates the length of the academic year.
Graduates of secondary education, after passing the Maturity examinations, are awarded the Maturity Certificate that gives access to higher education. Those who complete secondary education but do not take the Maturity examinations are awarded the Secondary School Graduation Certificate.
