'Louis-Paul Boon' School Erembodegem BELGIUM A small school with a big heart for children!		School web site
'Louis-Paul Boon' is our school name. This name was given by a famous writer who was also a student at our school. Our main objective is to let children feel at home at our school. Our slogan reads: TO TREAT EQUAL BY HANDLING DIFFERENT!
We are a small school with 3 grades in kindergarten, and 6 classes in primary school. All together we have 130 students. We employ 9 full-time teachers, in addition to someone teaching religion, someone to teach ethics, a gymnastic teacher, a nursery, a logopedist and a GON-teacher.		Children are welcome at school from 07 a.m. till 18 p.m., lessons are given from 08.30 a.m. till 15.20 p.m. Since 2003, we also own a day-care center for 9 babies. As from February 2006, a second day-care center has been opened for 13 children from 1 till 2,5 years old. Two full-time and 2 part-time employees take care of these children and prepare the food themselves.


	A GREEN SCHOOL Our school is very proud to profile them as a 'green school' where environmental items are very important. The school is situated among a lot of trees, classes are surrounded by the green. We are very proud to announce our third MOS-logo Project (Environment at School). We take care of own our orchard, brig are put together and recycled. Children also use their own lunch boxes and wasting food is not allowed at school.



	A SCHOOL OF ART Our school also wants to profile itselves as a school of Art. Every year all our children work together on a big project. They discover their own talents and feel very responsible for their own work. Some projects we realized are: - The table of the hidden workplace - Time failed - Arte-povra and land art - Graffiti - Circus ( a real circus was at our school for one week)
