ICE AGE

We started the activities with a Brain storming and a consequent Conceptual Map.

This is the conceptual map we started with.

The pupils analysed the film and discovered the subjects to discuss about.

 


The first subject we faced was Science and in particular the water cycle.

Uhh!How much ice!
Why don't speak about the "water Cycle" then.
Actually it's raining outside.
But where does all this water come from?
Let's find it out!

Then we drew the characters of the film (Art), followed by the description of the mammoth and the sloth as animals(English). At the beginning the pupils find information in Italian and then they put it in English; next step gathering all the information and producing a common description at different levels for the different classes.

This is a first attempt of description by a 3rdclass pupil.
There are mistakes in it but also a great enthusiasm

As you can see this drawing is made by a third class pupil.
Probably the mammoth is on diet, but it's features are still there.
