"Joint" activity report for the second year 2006/2007

During the project meeting in Kaunas, in May 2007, some teachers of the Italian group suggest to start to think about the final report for the school year 2006/2007. The final report should be a duty for the coordinator school but we all understand that the Slovak school has problems in coordinating the project, in taking part to mobilities and even in communicating with other partners. So, some volunteers sit down around the computer and write a draft of the final report.Time is short , the ideas are not so clear, so we can not finish the report during the meeting. The agreement is that, after the meeting, each of us should read the draft, add the missing part, share the document within each school and with the partner schools and then put together a common final report. Unfortunately, nobody add any significant part to the draft. Summer is over and the dead line for the report forces Paola from Iqbal Masih school to put together what she has got, thinking that it's not right to do others' job without any help. The result is this, a report with relevant missing parts

Introduction
The participants to the meeting of Comenius Project Bell, held in Kaunas from 6 to 13 may 2007, taking in consideration the absence of the coordinator school Nasa Skola at this meeting and the lack of effective communications with the coordinator school trough this school year, agree on the following points
" Nasa Skola in Ruzomberok, Slovakia, for many reasons (it's a small private school, with no experience in European project and difficulties in using communication tools that are necessary in this project; the contact person seems to have some personal difficulties in joining the activities) cannot be the coordinator school in the third year of the project. We all agreed that the coordinator school for the third year will be School Iqbal Masih in Rome as we stated on the renewal form of our Comenius project
" We start to write together, during this meeting, the activity report for the school year 2006/2007 instead of our coordinator, because we are not sure that this important document can be wrote and shared in time by the coordinators.

Were there any major obstacles to a satisfactory cooperation? How have these obstacles been overcome, if at all? How important were the staff mobility activities? How important were the pupil mobility activities?

For our communication we use English language and mainly e-mails. Some problems were caused by different degrees of familiarity with some sort of media, we are bettering it

SECTION D: EVALUATION
Has the partnership undertaken any joint evaluation of project activities and progress made?
If so, what are the main methods, conclusions and consequences of this evaluation? Were expectations met? Does the partnership wish to continue its cooperation, within a Comenius project or otherwise?

Through project activities pupils in the schools improved their motivation in foreign languages activities and in European knowledge. With the planned activities we could actively involved special needs children. The web site is established as a common tool of work which can be used by teachers, students and families.
We are going to improve the objective about special needs because we don't feel prepared to write a complete programme for special needs pupils. We are going to ask for help to special schools and/or support teachers for language teaching. We also evaluate as positive aspects in our schools policy about languages the following established activities:
" integration of a Comenius language assistant into school-life
" resources provided by the school for teaching/learning of languages (compared to other subjects)
