From 19th to 25th June two teachers from Iqbal Masih school, Paola Arduini and Simonetta Parenti, took part to a teachers exchange in L.P.Boon school, in Erembodegem, Belgium. From 19 to 21 the headmistress of Italian school, Mrs Simonetta Salacone, visited the Belgian school and participated to some activities.

The Italian teachers could discuss some interesting aspects,as the organization of Primary schools, integration of immigrants pupils and special needs education with teachers and headmistress of Belgian school. The visit to the school " The horizon" , a school for pupils with mental disabilities, gave the possibility to debate some open questions in the European pedagogical development.

The Italian teachers were also invited to a seminar with Belgian ( Flemish part) headmasters. They could talk there, in English, about our Comenius project and also offer a presentation of our website. Unfortunately, the other speakers spoke only in Flemish and no translation was given, so the Italian teachers could not join the debate and / or understand comments and reports.

On Sunday, we could also join the final show of the school year, organized by teachers and students of Primary, Pre - Primary and Kindergarten school L.P. Boon. The whole show was structured as a " Oscar awards" with children acting and dancing. Very nice! The only regret was that the movie ICE AGE, on which we worked so much, get a nomination but nothing more. After all that work for the project, we think the movie deserved to win the Oscar! The day ended with a crowded barbeque organized by parents. Unfortunately we were forced to stay inside for the heavy rain and it was difficult even to find a chair for us...

In the City Hall Building in Bruxelles the star is supposed to be the Centre of Europe!
